Car AC Repair, Battery and Electrical Problems in Hadapsar and Amanora

16 September 20268 min read

Pune summers routinely cross 38°C, and a car sitting in an open parking lot near Amanora Mall can easily hit 60°C inside. That is exactly when a weak AC or a tired battery gives up. AC, battery and electrical faults are closely connected in modern cars — they share the same charging system, fuses and wiring — so it makes sense to understand them together. This guide explains the most common problems we see in Hadapsar, what usually causes them, and what a proper repair involves.

Part 1: Car AC problems

A car AC system is a sealed loop: the compressor pressurises refrigerant gas, the condenser in front of the radiator releases heat, and the evaporator behind the dashboard cools the cabin air. When any part of that loop weakens, cooling drops.

Part 2: Car battery problems

Most car batteries in Pune last roughly two to four years. Heat is the main enemy — it speeds up the chemical breakdown inside the battery far more than cold does. Short trips also prevent the battery from fully recharging.

Part 3: Electrical faults

Modern cars carry dozens of electronic modules. Most electrical faults we see fall into a few categories:

  • Blown fuses caused by aftermarket accessories wired incorrectly
  • Corroded connectors after monsoon water entry
  • Rodent damage to wiring — surprisingly common in cars parked in open societies
  • Failing sensors triggering warning lights
  • Central locking, power window and infotainment faults

Simple habits that prevent AC and battery trouble

  • Park in shade when possible, or use a sunshade to reduce cabin heat
  • Drive with windows down for the first minute to push hot air out before switching to recirculation
  • Run the AC at least once a week, even in winter, to keep seals lubricated
  • Have the battery tested at every service once it crosses two years
  • Take at least one longer drive a week if most trips are very short
  • Keep the battery terminals clean and tight

Getting it checked in Hadapsar

At Pune Automotive, AC work starts with a performance and leak test, and battery work starts with a proper charging-system check — so you only pay for what's actually wrong. Our workshop is behind Amanora Mall, next to Swagat Macchi House, and we can collect your car from Amanora Park Town, Hadapsar, Magarpatta or nearby.

See our AC and electrical services on the [Services & Pricing page](/services), [book online](/book), or [contact the workshop](/contact) if your car won't start and you need advice first.
